The citation management software EndNote helps you organize and format references in an easy way. It consists of the software program EndNote with which you collect and organize all your references that you have either imported from different databases or constructed yourself by templates included here. Then there is also the word processor (Word) add-in feature called Cite While You Write (CWYW) which lets you easily insert citations in the text and add references to your bibliography from within any Word document. You can choose among thousands of so-called output styles, such as the well-known APA, Oxford, and Vancouver styles, but also journal-specific styles.
EndNote consists of a desktop version and an online version and as a member of staff at Jönköping University you can synchronize them and for example share a library of references with your colleagues. As a student at the University you only have access to EndNote Online, not the desktop version. See the tab EndNote Online for instructions.
In this guide you can follow numbers 01 to 12 on the EndNote tabs for a short overview of the different aspects of the software for a quick start, or just pick a specific section that you are interested in.
