Sometimes you want to attach a document as an appendix to your work. It can be a questionnaire that was the basis for interviews or something similar that would be good for the reader to have access to.

Good to know

• The appendix is placed at the end of the essay.
• If it is just one appendix, label it Appendix with a capital A.
• If there are several appendices, label them Appendix A, B, C, etc.
• The appendix should not be included in the reference list.
• You must refer to the appendix at least once in your text.
