Mentions of titles in text

Titles of works are typically not included in in-text citations. However, if you wish to emphasise a specific work for any reason, the title should be written in italics. Use italics for titles of books, reports, web pages, and other standalone works. For titles of works that are part of a larger collection, such as journal articles or chapters in edited books, use quotation marks instead of italics.

  • Example: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first part of the Harry Potter series.
