In order to increase the potential impact of your publications, there are a number of important things that you should do. There are simple ways to improve the findability of your articles in databases and ways to distinguish yourself from other researchers with similar names. In this section we describe ways to optimize the metadata of your article, such as title, abstract, and keywords, and the importance of getting a researcher ID, such as ORCID, and to curate them well.
